How to serve legal process

Itch Tickets accepts service of subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and preservation requests by email to akiva@itchtix.com with the subject line "Law Enforcement Request — [agency name]," or by certified mail to:

What we require

  • Valid legal process issued by a U.S. court or agency with jurisdiction over Itch Tickets, or an MLAT request for non-U.S. matters.
  • Specific identifiers (order number, account email, transaction ID, or full legal name).
  • Investigator name, badge number, agency, and a callback number for verification.

Data we typically retain

  • Account: name, email, phone, account creation date, last login.
  • Transactions: order ID, event, ticket details, amounts, timestamps, payment processor reference.
  • Connection: IP address and user-agent for authentication events (90 days).

We do not retain full payment-card numbers; only the processor token and last four digits.

Preservation requests

Per 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), we will preserve records for 90 days, extendable for an additional 90 days upon written request, while you seek formal legal process.

Emergency disclosure

In emergencies involving imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, contact akiva@itchtix.com with "EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST" in the subject. We follow 18 U.S.C. § 2702(c)(4) procedures.

User notice

Our policy is to notify users of legal process seeking their account information, unless prohibited by law or court order or where notice would be counterproductive (e.g., risk to a child).
